The Village of Manteno is holding the first Rockin’ on the Square, sponsored by Berkot’s Super Foods, in addition to the eighth annual Golf Cart Parade.
Join the Village of Manteno for the kick-off of their Summer Concert Series – Rockin’ on the Square, on Friday, June 16, from 7 – 9:30 p.m., at the Square on Second, which is the village’s most popular community park and features a bouncing pillow, zipline, fireplace, and lighted fountain.
The annual Golf Cart Parade will launch the evening, with parade lineup at 5:45 p.m., at Marquette Place South, located behind the elementary school. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m., and travels from South Creek Drive, east down Cook Street, north on Main Street, and ends at the Square on Second. No need to sign up ahead of time, just show up if you want to join the free parade!
The band, Good Clean Fun, led by an incredible husband and wife team who play music from virtually all decades, is guaranteed to satisfy any listener. Miabella’s Pizza and Sweet Darren’s food trucks also will be in attendance; so come hungry!
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, and BYOB, but are reminded to please drink responsibly. More information can be found on the village’s Facebook page and website under events.
