May 30, at approximately 4:45 p.m., a traffic stop for expired plates led to the arrest of Nepearl Parker, 26, of Chicago, for driving while suspended and no insurance. She was processed and bonded.
May 30, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the 25700 S. Governors Highway, when they noticed cannabis and paraphernalia on the floorboard. A search of the car uncovered nearly 70 grams of cannabis, resulting in the arrest of a 33-year-old Colgate, Wisconsin, man. Amador Guitierrez Jr. was processed and transported to Will County for felony possession of cannabis.
June 1, at approximately 5 p.m., a Monee-Manhattan Road traffic stop for expired plates led to the arrest of Jwaun Foxworth, 23, of Chicago Heights for driving while suspended. Foxworth was processed and bonded.
June 1, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a Monee-Manhattan Road traffic stop for expired plates led to the arrest of Darius Tate, 36, of Chicago, for driving while suspended. He was processed and bonded.
June 2, at approximately 1 p.m., Chantel Prater, 34, of Hammond, was charged with driving while suspended and suspended registration. Prater was stopped for speeding on Governors Highway. She was processed and bonded.
June 2, at approximately 11:45 p.m., a Monee-Manhattan Road traffic stop for expired plates led to the arrest of Fredrick Dabner, 36, of Park Forest, for driving while suspended. He was processed and bonded.
June 4, at approximately 4 p.m., a Monee-Manhattan Road traffic stop for expired registration ended with multiple charges for a 22-year-old Hazel Crest man. After identifying the driver, officers noticed a strong odor of cannabis, and the driver admitted having a small amount on his person. After turning over a small baggie, he admitted there was more cannabis in the car. Officers then conducted a search of the vehicle, locating additional bags of cannabis totaling more than 30 grams. They also discovered a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber pistol loaded with eight rounds in the back pocket of the passenger seat. It was then determined the weapon had been reported stolen in Crete. Dejour R. Garrett was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a stolen weapon, possession of cannabis, and no insurance. He was processed and transported to Will County.
