It was a great week for the Bobcat varsity softball team, adding four non-conference victories to their tally.

The Lady Bobcats, at home on Saturday, April 15, won a doubleheader against Marquette Academy of Ottawa. Lorenzatti, who is 9-0, took the seven-inning win, while allowing only 1 hit, in the 4-0 shutout.

In the second game, Taylor Norkus, who is 4-1, took the victory, pitching five innings, and allowed only 2 hits and no runs. Alexa Gliva and Ava Lorenzatti each pitched an inning in relief in the Bobcats’ 5-2 victory.

Facing Dyer’s Illiana Christian, the Bobcats provided the hometown fans with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday, April 19. It was a low-scoring, low-hitting game, but Lorenzatti picked-up her 10th win in the circle, in the one-hit shutout, with Beecher scoring 1 run on 3 hits for the day.

The Bobcats ended their week in action with another home win on Thursday, April 20, beating Wilmington, 11-1. On the day, the Bobcats scored 11 runs, on 9 hits, while winning pitcher Taylor Norkus, who is 5-1, gave up 1 run, on 2 hits.
