Carolyn S. Clement, 76, of St. Anne, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee. Born on October 1, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of John and Audrey (Brown) Logsdon. Carolyn married Cletus Clement on May 25, 1973, in Kankakee. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1997.
Carolyn was a feisty spitfire of a woman, with a heart of gold. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, playing slots, dancing, and country living. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by sons, Clarence (Stephanie) Clement and Craig (Debbie) Clement, all of St. Anne; daughter, Cheryl Clement of Arkansas; grandchildren, Charell (Robert) Turner, Curtis (Maranda) Clement, Cynthia Mickelson, Michelle Johnson, Chris (Stacey) Johnson, Clarissa and Camden Clement, and Korey and Krista Arseneau; great-grandchildren, Maci, Colin, Maryn, Kylie, Maddie, Brantley, Cole, CJ, and Zahn; sister, Chris McGowen of Kentucky; brother, John Logsdon; and special friends, Julie Arseneau and Yvonne West.
In addition to her husband, Cletus Clement, Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carrie Clement; stepmother, Dorothy Logsdon; brothers, Randall, Kenneth, John M., and Marvin; and sisters, Charlene, Beverly, Patricia Faye, and Vondi.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m., on Thursday, April 13, at Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home in St. Anne, with a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Friday, April 14, also at Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Seed will officiate the service, followed by burial at St. Anne Township Cemetery in St. Anne.
