Robert C. Miller, 84, of Chicago, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park. Born October 26, 1938, in Chicago, he was the son of Carl and Violet (Nelson) Miller. Robert married Linda Lou Kerouac on December 28, 1996, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. She preceded him in death on July 25, 2020.
Robert was a retired physicist at Argonne National Laboratory. He also was a teacher in the Chicago Public Schools and a professor in Chicago area colleges. Robert was a graduate of Steinmetz High School in Chicago and earned his B.S. at the Illinois Institute of Technology and his M.S. from Northern Illinois University. He was a member of Sigma Xi, Mensa, and Intertel. Robert was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his wife, Linda Miller, Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 11-11:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon, also on Thursday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, with interment following at St. Joseph Cemetery in Manteno.
