Marilyn F. Cook, 89, of Kankakee, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2022. Born on August 24, 1933, in Kankakee, she was the daughter of Alex and Alvina Beland Cardosi. On May 28, 1955, she married Russell J. Cook at St. Patrick’s Church in Kankakee. Together they raised two children – Kathleen and Russell.
Marilyn enjoyed her family and friends. She was an avid Bridge player, enjoyed entertaining and social events, and was involved in many clubs and organizations during her lifetime.
Marilyn is survived by daughter, Kathleen (Richard) North; one granddaughter; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son; and brother, Alex.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private memorial Mass was held at Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church in Bourbonnais on March 3, with inurnment at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.
