David Lindstrom, 69, of Bourbonnais, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at his home. Born September 27, 1953, in Chicago, he was the son of Melbourne and Audrey Brunnell Lindstrom. David married Elaine Hoppel on October 17, 1980, in Kankakee.
David, a graduate of Momence High School, was a retired employee of Merck Millipore and a member of Chemical Workers Union 472C. He enjoyed hiking the river, birdwatching, reading, and history model building. He also served in the U.S. Navy from 1973-1977.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine Lindstrom of Bourbonnais; sons, Ryan Lowrey of Ashkum and Ian Lindstrom of Virginia; daughters, Rachel (Dan) Weir of Kankakee, Elizabeth (Matt) Johnson of Washington, and Mo Lindstrom and Brianne Lindstrom, both of Kankakee; grandchildren, Candice, Austin, Nathan, Savanna, and Collin; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Mackenzie; sisters, Kathy Choprah of New York, Virginia Bloos of Michigan, Helen Ewoldt of Grant Park, and Lynn Ann (Jim) Lawless of McCall, Indiana; and brothers, Larry (Jean) Lindstrom and Jerry Lindstrom, all of Iowa. David was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Susanne.
