Richard C. Rutter, 82, of Andres, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Salem Village Nursing and Rehabilitation in Joliet. Born on December 27, 1940, in Joliet, he was the son of Clifford and Ruth (Silveus) Rutter.
Richard retired from the electro-motive division of General Motors Corporation, in La Grange, after 31 years of employment. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed boating and hunting. Richard was known to be a sharp dresser and be the owner of the fastest cars around. He loved animals, especially his cats and dogs.
He is survived by his brother, Ron Rutter of Andres, and his great friend and companion, Carmen Elizalde and her family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Ruth Rutter, and his sister, Carolyn Joyce (Rutter) Johnson.
Funeral services were held at Bramley Funeral Home, in Auburn, on January 24, with interment following at Auburn Cemetery.
