Lorna Mae Wolford, 89, of Bradley, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Arcadia Care of Clifton. Born on November 30, 1933, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, she was the daughter of Lecil and Hannah (Schneider) Dewitt. Lorna married Richard A. Wolford Sr. on June 21, 1958, in Kankakee. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1988.
Lorna, a 1951 graduate of Oskaloosa High School, was a retired cook for Bradley Elementary School District. She enjoyed cooking for her family, reading, and collecting Teddy Bears.
Surviving are one son and two daughters-in-law, Keith (Chris) Wolford and Connie Regnier Wolford, all of Bradley; twin great-grandsons, Dylan Regnier-Jamnik and Lucas Regnier-Jamnik; sisters-in-law, Helen Dewitt of Colorado and Deb Williams Magruder of Kankakee; and a special niece, Dee Dewitt Logston of Florida. Lorna was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; son, Richard A. Wolford Jr.; brothers, Cleo Dewitt, Roger Dewitt, twin brothers, Willard and Wilbur Dewitt, and Gayle Dewitt; and a special niece, Cindy Dewitt.
A funeral service was held on January 7, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Bourbonnais, with entombment following at Mound Grove Garden Mausoleum.
