Villanueva to host back to school resource fair on Friday
The new school year is right around the corner and to prepare students as they head back to the classroom, state Senator Celina Villanueva is giving away free school supplies at a back to school resource fair on Friday, Aug. 12.
The back to school resource fair will take place from 4-7 p.m. at Rauner Family YMCA, located at 2700 S. Western Ave. in the Little Village neighborhood. During the free event, students will be able to receive free school supplies, until supplies last.
“Back to school time can be financially draining for many families-especially following years of the pandemic and the onslaught of inflation,” said Villanueva (D-Chicago). “I’m hopeful the back to school resource fair will provide families with much-needed relief that will allow students to start off the new school year strong.”
