DR. SALVATORE BASSO

Dr. Salvatore Basso, 81 of Worth, passed away on February 5.

He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen C. Basso (nee Corbett); devoted father of Mary (John) Plescher, Elizabeth (Derek) Ashmore and the late Theresa Boldt. Loving grandfather of Kandace (Sean) Kennedy, Nicole and John (Kayla) Boldt, Jonathan Plescher and Zachary and Morgan Ashmore. Proud great-grandfather of Salvatore and Ellowyn; dearest brother of Michael (Cheryl) Basso; dear uncle of Thomas Basso and Jenny (Jason) LaHa.

He was a licensed naprapath in Worth for over 47 years. He was a longtime volunteer with PADS.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 17, from 3-8 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy., Palos Hills. Funeral services will be Friday, February 18, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home to Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research would be appreciated.

Irene Bigott, nee Jaje, 89, of Palos Heights, passed away on February 4.

She was the beloved wife of Richard Bigott; loving mother of Gregory (Irene) and Jeffry Bigott and Andrea (Kenneth Jr.) Quindel; cherished grandmother of Gwen (Patrick) Orlowski, Ian, Andrew and Carolyn Bigott, Brittany (Derrick) Lottich and Brian Quindel; dearest Sister of Stanley (Alice) Jaje.

Irene was a member of the Blue Army at St. Alexander Church.

Visitation will be Friday, February 11, from 4-8 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy., Palos Hills. Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Alexander Church at 10 a.m. Interment Mary Hill Cemetery, Niles.

Dolores R. Braun, age 93, of Chicago, Clearing community, passed away peacefully January 30, nine days before her 94th birthday.

She was the beloved wife of the late William Braun Jr.; loving mother of William (Kathleen) Braun III, Patricia Braun and James Braun; dear grandmother of Erik (Kayla) Braun and Ian Braun; proud great grandmother of Maddie.

Friends and family are invited to meet on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Symphorosa Church for a Memorial Mass in Celebration of Dolores’ life. Dolores’ cremains will be entombed at a later date at St. John -St. Joseph Diocesan Catholic Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana. Cynthia J. Ferrin (née Sommer), 62, of Palos Park, passed away on January 25.

She was the beloved wife for 38 years of David Ferrin. Devoted mother of Nate (Christina) and Valerie (Jordan). Loving grandmother of Jack and Miles. Treasured sister of Linda (Bob) and Robert (Haley). Cherished daughter of the late John and Marie Sommer. Wonderful aunt and cousin. Dear friend to many.

Cindy dedicated her life to her loving family and shared countless memories with lifelong friends. She will be sadly missed along life’s way, but quietly remembered every day.
