
Joan F. Krajewski, 77, of Chicago, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Born August 29, 1944, in Chicago, she was the daughter of John A. and Estelle Rusiewski Krajewski.
Joan graduated with honors from the Academy of Our Lady High School in Beverly and also graduated from Barat College of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, with a master’s degree. A Chicago high school teacher, she taught English and history at Mother McAuley and Morgan Park High Schools during her 30-year career. After her retirement she moved to Sarasota, FL.
She was a world traveler, loved to host gourmet dinner parties, read, and spend time with her family. She held a special place in her heart for the children at St. Jude Hospital.
Joan is survived by her sister Linda (William) Murray of Beecher; a niece Becky (Wayne) Goodwyn of Lowell, IN; and great-nephews Thomas Goodwyn, and Ryan, Connor, and Ian Murray.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew Sean Murray.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, from 2 p.m., until the memorial service at 3:30 p.m., at Hack-Jensen Funeral Home.
